Having painted much more from life, my work became more skillful and naturalistic. Moreover, the support I was receiving from the Harbor Gallery in Cold Spring Harbor, NY, where I had been exhibiting since 1966, was encouraging. My friend Greeny is the central figure in this composition. The fourth rider, young Eugenie, is the reflection in the window.
